Denise and I have collaborated as uke musicians and teachers for the past decade. It is not an exaggeration to describe Denise as the “Uke Lady” of Somerset County … her love for the ukulele and her passion for sharing that love have brought the instrument into the lives of hundreds of folks. Denise is a creative teacher AND an adept organizer; her several performing uke groups have been playing together for years … what an accomplishment! If you are looking for the best person to help you discover the ukulele, Denise is that person. She has a gift and she’ll share it with you!

I can't thank you enough for introducing me to the joy of ukulele. Your encouraging and upbeat approach made learning to play such fun. Your patience with all of us when things didn't sound as they should was amazing. Your unwavering confidence that we could do it, encouraged us to keep trying until it sounded right! I can't believe all the songs I've learned to play! My friends love being serenaded with Happy Birthday each year, and I've gotten good enough with some of the Christmas tunes to be able to play for a holiday sing-a-long. The ukulele has added a lot of joy not only to my life to but also my family and friends. Thanks for what you've taught me so far and I look forward to our next set of lessons in the Fall!!!!
